Default Tupperware Response to Haiti Earthquake

Tupperware Response to Haiti Earthquake
The earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale which struck impoverished Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince left much of the city in ruins, a death toll rising daily and between 500,000 and 700,000 people displaced.
Recovery from disasters is not simply the restoration of roads and buildings but a long process of restoring individual and community functions. For individuals to recover, the community supporting them must be rebuilt and fully functional.
Tupperware Brands is committed to the long-term recovery of the people of Haiti and will partner with the International Save the Children Alliance, a global network of 29 organizations dedicated to the protection of children. Save the Children USA is the lead for recovery efforts in Haiti and will use our donations to support women and their families through the end of 2010 in the following way:
Product Donation:
•$2 million dollars in Tupperware products to help in the collection, storage and use of food, water, and valuables.
•A focus on assisting with relief, reconstruction and restoration efforts.•An initial shipment of over 100,000 plates will be part of Family Kits distributed for immediate relief to victims of the earthquake.Matching Donation:
•For each U.S. dollar donated by Tupperware Associates, Sales Force Members and customers from our companies around the world to Save the Children’s relief efforts, Tupperware Brands Corporation will contribute U.S $6 in product, up to $500,000.You can help by sharing this link and making a donation: https://secure.savethechildren.org/0...ny_name=104527

We thank you for your support on behalf of the people of Haiti.
