TERMS OF SERVICE Thanks for stopping by Miss Imagination community. Miss Imagination consists of a very warm and helpful online community of crafters. The Miss Imagination community site is designed to provide an open, friendly forum for exchanging ideas about various craft-related topics, sharing your work, keeping in contact with groups you may form online, and learning more about your favorite hobbies through the content provided by our staff and community members. To participate in the Miss Imagination community, you will need to be a Miss Imagination community member. You will need to be a member to take part in any group, reply to posts on the message board, comment on articles, and post content. There is no fee to become Miss Imagination member. You'll just need to register and be an active member of the Miss Imagination community. You must be at least 18 years of age to become a registered member of Miss Imagination. If it is determined that you are younger than the age of 18, your account will be closed. However, you are welcome and encouraged to return when you do reach the age of 18. This User Agreement describes the terms and conditions on which Miss Imagination, owner of MissImagination.com, offers you to be a participant in the Miss Imagination Forums. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. WHILE REGISTERING, IF AFTER READING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THEM, PRESS THE "AGREE" BUTTON; THEREUPON, YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THE SAID TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND TO FAITHFULLY COMPLY WITH THE SAME. Registration and your personal account - Information required upon registration for each participant on MissImagination.com must be accurate and complete. You must update such information as needed in order to ensure that the information remains to be accurate and complete. - Use of Member ID and Password. Miss Imagination assumes that all activities made using your Member ID and password are authorized by you. 2. User Conduct - You agree to be respectful of others' ideas and opinions. You will not use any expression of racism, bigotry,hateful comments or comments made in efforts to hurt another Miss Imagination community member. We will not permit such comments. - Do not, under any circumstances, threaten harm or wish death on another member. - Members on our forums are entitled to a certain level of privacy and respect as far as their personal lives offline go. No member should ever taken it upon themselves to "investigate" another member's life outside of our forums and post information they have found through other means. This especially includes contacting friends or family members outside of Miss Imagination in an attempt to gather information to disprove another member's stories/posts. If posts of this nature are made, they will be removed immediately, and a formal warning will be issued, and a ban from Miss Imagination could possibly occur. When you are in doubt about a specific member's post(s), please contact a member of staff and we will take appropriate action. - You agree not to copy, link, or take information from another poster in efforts to post on another website, messageboard or website in efforts to ridicule another member or with malicious intent. - You agree to refrain from posting any obscene, profane or inappropriate photos, videos, layouts, or message board posts. Please remember that Miss Imagination are family-friendly sites. Any questionable material will be immediately removed without warning. - You agree to not make personal attacks, or "flames" (Flames are comments about a person rather than about his or her opinions.). In addition, you agree to refrain from posting libelous remarks about companies or individuals. Libel is defined in Webster's II New College Dictionary as "A written, printed or pictorial statement that defames one's character or reputation or exposes one to public ridicule." We reserve the right to remove messages that we consider libelous. This is a serious matter. If you post libelous remarks, legal action can be taken against you. To learn more about libel, see www.firstgov.gov or the Libel Defense Resource Center. - You agree to be respectful of our publications and our staff. We are happy to provide this message board as a free service, but we reserve the right to delete messages that are disrespectful to us. We work hard for you, and we appreciate your polite consideration as you make comments about our staff and our publications. - You agree to refrain from posting messages about products or services for sale. ADVERTISING OF ANY KIND IS PROHIBITED, as well as requesting board members use your name to gain referral benefits or any other solicitations. You agree not to use the Miss Imagination Forums to either advertise or promote commercial endeavors, which includes direct posts, as well as, active links to other sites on the Internet, without permission from a Miss Imagination Administrator. - You may not post messages anonymously. All posts must be made under your own username. Miss Imagination members are allowed to have one user name only. It is against the Terms of Service to create more than one username or post under more than one username. Doing so may result in a warning or an immediate ban from the website. - You agree to refrain from discussing any illegal or illicit activities. - For your own protection, do not share your personal information (e-mail address, phone number, home address, etc.) with others on the site. - When posting your own work on the website, you agree that: (i) you own the content posted by you on or through the website or otherwise have the right to grant the license set forth in this section, and (ii) the posting of your content on or through the website does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person. You agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing any person by reason of any content posted by you to or through the website. - As each forum is specifically tailored to address certain topics, you are responsible for initiating new threads in the correct forum. You should stay on-topic at all times. - You agree not to post the same message in multiple forums without permission from a Miss Imagination Administrator or staff member. - "Impersonation," or assuming the character of another member by copying his username and manner of writing, is not allowed. - User IP addresses are tracked for security purposes, and the use of a proxy/false IP is disallowed. - "Spamming," or sending unsolicited electronic junk mail or junk newsgroup postings, in any form, is strictly forbidden. - "Trolling," or posting insulting or deliberately divisive threads/replies for the purpose of (1) harvesting retaliatory insults and flames, or (2) throwing off the balance of the forum, is also disallowed. - You agree that you will not incorporate any word in your name, Message ID, siggy, or custom user title that is defamatory, obscene or profane, or which violates any trademark, service mark, or other proprietary/intellectual property rights of any third party, including, without limitation, that of MissImagination.com. 3. User Signatures: Signatures are enabled for all members but please be sensible and follow the signature guidelines. Keeping signature sizes to a minimum keeps our forums easy to read and loading quickly for all members. The following signature guidelines are in place and will be very strictly enforced: - Signatures for standard members must be no larger than 600x250 (600 pixels in width by 250 pixels in height). That means ALL text, graphics and pictures must fit within that area. For more information and examples of what is acceptable, please see our signature guidelines in the Help Desk section. - Links in signatures advertising other web forums and message boards are stictly prohibited. If your signature does not fall within guidelines, it will be edited by a staff member without prior warning to you. 4. Warning System: Generally speaking, members will receive 3 formal warnings before a ban is made on their account. Upon the third formal warning, a ban on the users membership will be made and they will not be allowed to create a new membership on MissImagaintion.com. However, our moderation team does reserve the right to bypass formal warnings, dependent upon circumstances of individual situations. Warnings will be done privately and will not be made public business. 5. Miss Imagination, Staff information, Content Filtering & reporting posts - The Miss Imagination staff reserves the right to delete any messages or topics at any time, if we feel it does not contribute positively to the community. We also reserve the right to ban from the message board those who violate these standards. - Miss Imagination community members are welcome to report violations of these standards to the Miss Imagination staff members. - We are not responsible for and do not guarantee the accuracy of statements posted on the message board. We will do our best to monitor the message board and to enforce these message board guidelines. We also count on your help to report abuses to these guidelines here. Amendments Miss Imagination reserves the right to amend any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time. Termination Miss Imagination reserves the right to terminate your use of Missimagination.com at anytime, with or without notice. Following termination, at its sole option, Miss Imagination may remove some or all of your Messages from the MissImagination.com website or leave it available for public review, without need of notice or approval from you. By using our community site, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information.
